LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

A Lee County Sheriff's deputy was involved in a crash on Friday.

Deputy Joshua Davis was pulling out of the Dollar General parking lot onto Highway 19 just north of Ledo Road a little before 6:30 in the evening.

He pulled into the path of a Lincoln Navigator driven by Michael Ervin.

He had a car stop and wave him out, or try to wave him out, said it was all clear, so, he tried to pull on out, didn't see the black SUV coming down 19 and pulled into the path of the SUV," said TFC Jack Stripling of Georgia State Patrol.

Neither driver was hurt. Deputy Davis was cited for failure to yield.
