FBI wants help in unsolved Valdosta bank robbery

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

The Atlanta field office of the FBI is still looking for the men who robbed the Bank of America on Baytree Road in Valdosta last December. The criminals have never been caught.

Agents say the men went into the bank about 9:30 in the morning of December 20, pointed guns, and told everybody to lie down.

They got away with cash, and ditched their getaway vehicle.

The FBI gave this description of the criminals

  • Height: 6'2"
  • Weight: 220 pounds
  • Sex: Male
  • Build: Medium
  • Eyes: Brown
  • Hair: Black
  • Complexion: Medium
  • Race: Black
  • Age: 20s
  • Vehicle Information: Blue Jeep Grand Cherokee - Recovered
  • Weapon Used: Semi-automatic handgun

Here is what the FBI news release said- 

On December 20, 2012, at approximately 9:03 AM, two unknown Black males entered the Bank of America located at 2001 Baytree Road, Valdosta, Georgia, waving semi-automatic handguns and ordering all of the occupants to the floor.

The two unknown Black males departed from the bank with an undisclosed amount of currency driving a blue Jeep Grand Cherokee. The blue Jeep Grand Cherokee was recovered a short distance from the robbery location.

They should be considered armed and dangerous.
