The Flint Riverkeeper group is happy with progress in the level of the Flint River, but they aren't letting their guard down.They've been studying the flow of the river for about five years.This year's above average rainfall has helped tremendously, but officials say river basin management and water planning also help.Riverkeepers say weather patterns could change, so preparation is the key to success when managing the levels.Flint River management is currently pushing for the passage of the Flint River Drought Protection Act.
