The Albany Humane Society is getting a makeover thanks to some help from a national humanitarian group and national dog food company.
A Hahira man charged with murdering his neighbor earlier this year is back home tonight after the charges were dropped.
66-year-old David Harrelson is a free man after a grand jury found the evidence pointed to self-defense.
Harrelson was arrested and charged with murdering Josh Commander in January.
The defense argued after the neighbors got into an argument, Commander came onto Harrelson's porch and assaulted him. And that led to the shooting.
"I'm not saying it's right or wrong but obviously the evidence of self defense was there and they made a decision and we have to go by it," said Assistant Southern District Attorney, Brad Shealey.
Harrelson was released from the Lowndes County Jail this week where he had been held since January.
