VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Valdosta Police are looking for the person who fired multiple gunshots at a man in his car.

Around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon under the overpass on Martin Luther King Drive, police say someone pulled up to a Jeep Cherokee and shot at it multiple times.

The driver of the jeep was not injured. Police are looking for a person of interest.

"Fortunately no one was hit in that case or stuck by a bullet in that case. But I am pretty confident in the next day or two we'll be able to announce that we're filing charges in that one," said Valdosta Police Chief Brian Childress.

Police say the shooter drove off in a dark-colored truck.

If you have any information Valdosta Police ask you to call them at 293-3145.
