ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A Dougherty County family is offering a $200 reward to catch the thieves who stole their two lawn tractors, worth about $12,000.

Hugh and Peggy Eledge discovered the equipment was missing from the garage behind their home on Hill Road on July 24th. One was a gold Hustler 212 Fast Track 60-inch zero turn mower. The other is a John Deere 48-inch X 320 tractor.

The Eledges had the serial numbers, which Investigators say will help trace them.

"Document serial numbers, that sort of thing. So if they do go stolen we can enter them into the National and State databases of stolen property. Which we have to have a serial number for that. So that helps in recovering property as well," said DCP Sgt. Chad Kirkpatrick.

Someone drove a truck behind the garage and pushed away a truck that was blocking the door out of the way.

If you have any information about the crime, Call CRIMESTOPPERS at 436-TIPS.
