ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

As you're checking off items on your student's back-to-school list this week, a southwest Georgia business is asking for your help to do the same for other students in need this year.

Digital Express Premium Verizon Retailers is collecting school supplies at several locations throughout the region this week to drop off at schools in their areas.

After their first location opened in Fitzgerald in 2003, they say their communities have really embraced them and now they want to reach out from their 11 different locations to ease the costs of back to school shopping.

Each store has specially designed a box to attract attention for customers to donate anything on their back to school lists.

The store is also holding a drawing to encourage more people to bring in donations, by making entries of 5 dollars worth of supplies.

They began collecting on July 15 until August 9th and winners will be announced on the 12th, for technology and other prizes from the company.

The schools and students will receive the supplies after the promotion is over next week.
