Dougherty County cigarette robbery suspect charged

DOUGHERTY CO., GA (WALB) -

Your tips helped Dougherty County Police find a woman accused of snatching about $100  worth of cigarettes from a convenience store.

42-year old Tara Terrell is charged with robbery by snatching.

She was already in the Dougherty County Jail on burglary charges.

Investigators say this video shows Terrell grabbing two cartons of Newports from a startled clerk at the Fast Lane at 300 Sylvester Road earlier this month and running out.

Investigators say she's the girlfriend of Keith Cobey who was arrested last week in Lee County for a similar crime.

After we showed you this surveillance video, police got several tips identifying this thief as Terrell.
