Time's running out on mower raffle

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Eddie Etheridge's friends and family organized a raffle of a very expensive lawnmower to help him defray the expenses of a costly medical condition, and the drawing is Saturday.

Etheridge has suffered from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis for three years, and recently moved up on a lung transplant list. He currently uses an oxygen tank to help him breathe.

Up for grabs in the raffle is a Grasshopper Mowers riding lawn mower. It is a Model #124 with a 48" cutting deck and a 24 horsepower commercial engine, valued at $7,000.

Raffle tickets cost $20 and can be purchased at Lawn Performance, All American Fun Park and Fastenal Co. in Albany. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win.

Family members say they are hopeful that the fundraiser will lead to Etheridge's speedy recovery.
