LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

An update now on a fatal Lee County crash.

State Patrol investigators say an autopsy will have to determine whether a woman died from crash injuries or a medical problem.

People who drive through that intersection daily say the state needs to lower the speed limit.

Family members were taking 74-year old Lanell Edwards from Phenix City, Alabama to see doctors at their home in Coolidge.

They slammed into a Dodge Magnum that turned in front of them on Highway 82 at the intersection with North Doublegate Drive.

We talked to several drivers who say that's a dangerous intersection.

"People just come through it way too fast, "said Larry Isert.  Do you think it needs to be enforced more? "Definitely. Definitely. IT's got to be enforced because people don't pay any attention to it."

Troopers haven't filed charges yet.

Department of Transportation officials are planning to do a safety enhancement review of the intersection.

They say they lowered the speed limit on that stretch of Highway 82 a couple of years ago.
