THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Thomasville Police are asking for the public's help to find another one of this summer's big ticket items.

Police say a lawn mower was taken out of a shed behind this Washington Street apartment complex Saturday night.

Investigators say while this shed was locked, they find many others are left open.

"We recommend any kind of lawn equipment that you're not using, when you're not using it, please secure it. Lock it away under your car port somewhere, in a shed, but make sure it is secure under lock and key," said Lt. Eric Hampton.

Thomasville Police detectives ask if you see someone suspicious trying to sell lawn maintenance equipment to call Crimestoppers at 229-227-3305.
