ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany church that held a back to school supply drive Monday, needs more help from the community.

Members at the New Macedonia Baptist Church on Zackery Avenue handed out school supplies to more than 200 children on Monday.  But they had to turn many folks away, because supplies ran out in about an hour and a half.  Now organizers are planning another drive to help those who are still in need.

"That lets you know that there is a great need for school supplies here with our children and in our community. And this is something that we really need, for those persons that didn't get a chance to drop off something, we would like for them, if they would to still drop off here," said Pastor Ronald Brown.

Brown says they're accepting all school supplies, like pencils, paper and rulers.  You can drop off your donation at the church at 620 Zackery Avenue or call them at 229-436-0200 for more information.
