ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Chehaw is hosting BMX races on Saturday and Sunday. Bikers from the Albany area competed on Friday, but racers from throughout Georgia, Florida, and Alabama are coming into town.

About 150 of the bikers will compete on Saturday and Sunday. Organizers say it's good entertainment and good for the city because it brings visitors to town.

"It does good for the city of Albany, it does good for the park, they let us have this place out here for the kids and all, It isn't just for the BMX riders, we have a lot of kids to come out here just to ride on the tracks," said Ricky Lawrence.

Registration starts tomorrow at 11:30am with races beginning at 2pm. On Sunday races will began at 11.
