Josh is originally from Atlanta, but went to school in Kentucky to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, with a minor in Broadcast Journalism from Berea College.
Before coming to WALB, Josh interned at WABG-TV in Greenville, MS, and WTVQ-TV in Lexington, KY.
Josh was exposed to news at an early age. When he was younger, his mother and father would tune into the news every night to see what was going on in their community. Naturally, his exposure to the news at an early age led Josh while he was in high school to follow the2008 presidential election very closely.
He kept his TV on CNN everyday watching journalists deliver reports on the election. He believes his exposure to the news at an early age is what led him to choose broadcast journalism as his profession.
Josh is a proud member of Lambda Pi Eta (The National Communication Association's Honor Society), Vincit Qui Patitur, as well as the National Association of Black Journalists. In his free time, he enjoys catching up on sleep, watching a good movie, reading his Bible, and attending church.
Josh looks forward to telling the stories of the many great people of Southwest Georgia, as well as enjoying the Good Life City. If you have any story ideas feel free to shoot him an email.
And if you see him around town make sure you say "Hi," he loves meeting new people.
