THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

You can help the family of a girl diagnosed with Leukemia while having a fun night in Thomasville.

Saturday night's benefit concert "Knee Deep" will feature bands, a silent auction, and other events at the Thomasville Fairgrounds.

The proceeds will benefit nine-year old Emily Siddell who has battled cancer for two and a half years.

"First year and nine months we spent two, sometime three weeks a month in the hospital. Getting chemo, high doses of chemo that made her feel really sick. And my husband and I we have, we had four children at the time. We have five children total. We would just swap off weeks that we took her," said Emily's Mother Geri.

"Tickets we are selling for $10. Children are free of course. And we are going to have a bounce house, a slip and slide, face painting, all kinds of fun stuff, free food," said Organizer Melissa Bass.

"So have the kids bring bathing suits just in case they want to get wet," said Geri Siddell.

Emily is scheduled to be done with chemotherapy in February.

Saturday's event begins at 6 p.m. Tickets are available at the gate or in advance by calling Melissa at 229-226-0741.
