ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Small business owners learn how to do business with local government. The Georgia Tech Procurement Assistance Center hosted a seminar in Albany focused on registration requirements and marketing strategies to business win government contracts.

The free seminars are held throughout the year around the state and on the web. Instructors say it's important to make sure entrepreneurs have tools they need to succeed.

"Knowledge is power and when you are doing business with the government there is so much information that you need to know. A lot of times businesses get discouraged because it is so much. So, Georgia Tech Procurement Assistant Center thinks that it is very important that we empower the businesses," said GTPAC Procurement Counselor Bridgett Bennett.

A seminar will be held next Wednesday in the Candy Room on Pine Avenue.
