LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

A man is facing charges after Lee County Sheriff's deputies say he snatched cigarettes from a convenience store in Lee County.

Keith Cobey, 40 is charged with robbery by snatching.

The Sheriff's Office says they received a tip from a viewer who saw surveillance photos from the scene on WALB.com.

One week ago, Lee County investigators released those surveillance photos showing a man robbing the Flash Foods convenience store on Highway 19 South by suddenly grabbing two cartons of cigarettes from the clerk and running off.

Cobey is currently in the Dougherty County Jail, charged with burglary in the first degree. Investigators issued arrest warrants for him in the robbery case.
There was no immediate word on a bond amount.

Officials say they are still working with Dougherty County Police as they look into similar crimes in other convenience stores.
