South Georgia baby shares birthday with "royal baby"

The Royal baby is getting all the attention after leaving the hospital with William and Kate this afternoon but a South Georgia mom is just as proud of her bundle of joy.

Danyelle Eidson gave birth Monday afternoon a little after Kate.

Her son isn't royal but he is Loyal. That's his name, after his grandfather.

This South Georgia mom was surprised her son was born around the same time as the royal baby, but she's glad he now shares a birthday with the heir to the British throne.

"You know we were planning on having him on my father’s birthday which was this coming Thursday, but that didn't happen, it was a surprise, so having him born on the Prince of England's birthday is pretty cool,” said Eidson.

Loyal was a little smaller than the new prince. He was born at 7 pounds, 14 ounces.
