VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

A Valdosta florist is helping put smiles on the faces of older south Georgians.

Tuesday, The Flower Gallery gave out 100 flower bouquets to seniors at the Heritage House Nursing Center as part of Teleflora's nationwide Make Someone Smile Week.

Teleflora provided the vases, the flowers were donated, and The Flower Gallery team put in the hours to make and deliver the arrangements.

"We figured we'd bring in a little laughter and a little smiles and we'd cheer them up. Because they don't get to get out as much as most people," said owner Susan Mullis.

"When I get flowers in my room I smile all over," said resident Blanche Davis.

The Flower Gallery has participated in Teleflora's Make Someone Smile Week for the past six years.
