Sylvester man run over by tractor, killed

WORTH CO., GA (WALB) -

A well-known Sylvester man has died after being run over by his tractor.

Larry Bailey Sr., 78, died late Thursday night at a hospital.

Investigators say he was cutting grass at his home on Massey Airport Road when he was run over around 4:30 Thursday afternoon.

Bailey was able to call 911 and talked to emergency workers when they arrived.

He succumbed to his injuries Thursday night.

Bailey was known as Sylvester's father and was a respected member of the community.
