CORDELE, GA (WALB) -

Co-workers of a pharmacy tech at Crisp Regional Medical Center are trying to raise money to help him pay his medical bills.

19-year-old Reico Harvey was riding through Cordele in the backseat of his sister's car when a tree fell on it. The tree fell on the car---  exactly where Harvey was sitting.

Harvey suffered head trauma and was transported to the Medical College of Central Georgia in Macon.

He is alert and improving, but he does not have health insurance.

Whitney Hill and Harvey's co-workers are hoping to organize events to get the community involved and help raise money for Harvey's care.

You can call Ms. Hill at 229-276-3386.
