ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Nearly 180 educators and administrators from the Dougherty County School System attended a seminar focused on positive leadership today.

Representatives from every department attended the event at Radium Springs Middle School.  It started with motivational speakers focusing on making the right decisions and becoming a positive role model.

Later, leaders from various departments spoke about their plans for the upcoming year.

"Well, the biggest chance, I think, is focus on what we're all about and the job at hand and the urgency of the job.  We've allowed some things in the past to happen that shouldn't have, and those need to be gone forever," said Dr. David Mosely, Interim Superintendent.

Mosely said he's excited about the upcoming school year, believes the county is on the right track.

He said the 2-day event will help the staff understand how they can support each other to become better educators and improve the school system.
