VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Valdosta residents have a chance to apply for a grant to help fix up their home.

The city got $600,000 through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta. Residents who quality can receive up to $10,000 in home repairs such as roofing, electrical, and plumbing. So far only 20 residents have applied, and the city can accept up to 60. You have until August 15th to apply.

"The person has to live within one of the 17 neighborhoods of our designated revitalization areas of the city, and they must be the owner of record," said Vanessa Flucas, Neighborhood Development Manager.
