Rising water closes Radium Springs

All of the recent rain has forced officials to temporarily close a south Georgia attraction.

A park representative says public works closed the garden Saturday afternoon because of high water levels.

The rising water is due to the seven and a half inches of rain we've received over the past three weeks.

The representative says the water is flowing in from the Flint River and it's continuing to rise.

Park officials don't know how long the gardens will be closed. The Public Works department will meet Monday to make that decision.
