Flint RiverQuarium accepts $150,000 in grant money

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Flint RiverQuarium has officially accepted money that Albany city commissioners recently voted to provide to the attraction. Technically, the money has to be funneled through the Albany Dougherty Inner City Authority.

The RiverQuarium will get $150,000 from the city this fiscal year.

Wednesday night, ADICA board members approved the grant. RiverQuarium Chief Operating Officer Tommy Gregors says it's good to know city leaders recognize the attraction's benefit to the city.

"We know the value of our attractions to our downtown redevelopment uh the economy of our city the quality of life to our citizens and so this just helps us secure the future of both those organizations," said Gregors.
