    The rate increased because of seasonal factors, such as the summer job loss among non-contract school workers and temporary layoffs, primarily in manufacturing. There were 60,500 jobs in Albany in June, down by 300, or 0.5 percent, from 60,800 in May. Most of the loss came in state government and the service-related industries.More >>
QUITMAN, GA (WALB) -

Georgia State Patrol says they now have identified the driver involved in a fatal crash involving four Brooks County High School student football players.

According to officials, Jicarre Watkins was driving the SUV at the time of the crash. Watkins, Shawn Waters and Johnie Parker all died in that crash.

De'Vron Whitfield survived and is being treated at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL.

Family and friends of the four young victims gathered for a vigil inside the Brooks County High School cafeteria Tuesday night.

The Brooks County School system is working to offer support to any student or staff member who needs it in the wake of the crash.
