THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Six Autry State prisoners are facing drug charges after corrections officers found marijuana on one of them, in a port-a-potty, and in a prison bus.

Michael Lewis, 34, Demetrius Hood, 25, Steve McPherson, 47, Michael Wall, 34, Mark Sellers, 39 and Trevon Coger are charged with manufacturing and distributing a controlled substance.

Officers were called to City Shop on Davenport Drive in reference to found contraband.

Corrections officers say they found a large black tape ball containing marijuana in a port-a-potty and four smaller black tape balls on Coger. Authorities also found small black tape balls in a pair of work gloves and five more in the back of one of the chairs of a prison bus.

Drug agents confirmed that 12 of 14 tape balls contained marijuana. One contained grey shirts and another contained an unidentified red substance.

There was no immediate word on how the charges will affect current sentences.
