DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA -

A trailer full of huge paper rolls caught fire as it was being hauled into Albany Tuesday morning.

James Walker Junior of Dothan, Alabama was driving the J.B. Hunt company tractor trailer in the 39 hundred block of Leary Road about 9:45. He told Police he heard a bang. He stopped and saw smoke pouring out the side of the trailer. Walker unhooked the truck from the trailer, and called the 9-1-1.

Albany Fire Department Battalion Chief Lawrence Haynes said "And apparently what it looks like, like his brakes got hot and blew the tires out, and spread it to the interior of the trailer. Which caught the rolls of paper on fire."

Walker left Leary shortly before the fire. It caused an estimated $12,000 in damage to the paper, and another $12,000 damage to the trailer.
