Marquise Stevenson's mother still grieving the death of her son, asking the community to help bring his killer to justice
TIFTON, GA (WALB) -
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is asking people to help them find comfort for a family still grieving for their murdered son, and bring a killer to justice.
They've been trying to solve this case for five and a half years.
In November 2007, 19-year-old Marquise Stevenson was shot and killed during a home invasion at his family's home at 3128 Six and a Half Avenue in Tifton.
About midnight someone kicked in the front door and shot Stevenson, but they did not harm his Mother or siblings who were also in the home.
A white SUV was seen driving away, and now GBI Investigators are asking anyone with information on that car or the murder to call them.
"If anyone in the area saw that vehicle or a vehicle similar to that leaving the area, it would definitely be important for those individuals to come forward," said GBI Agent Matt Marchant.
