Whether they travel or stay home this summer, drivers are enjoying a slight break in gas prices.   AAA says the national average price of a gallon is $3.48, the first time it has fallen below $3.50 since February.

That's also 16 cents below its post-Memorial Day high of $3.64.   One driver said she has not seen prices this low in a long time and it's a welcomed savings.

"It's great, it's much better than it's been for years, I'm loving it, you know so I could fill up at least once a week, it's a savings in my pocket," said Alice Jenkins, motorist.

The drop may be interrupted temporarily due to an oil price spike today on fears that turmoil in Egypt will disrupt the flow of crude oil in the Mid east.

Analysts though do not expect a sharp increase at the pump.
