THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

A Thomasville man is in jail accused of raping a mentally challenged woman.

Police charged 20-year old Michael Brown with raping a woman at the Break Through Independent Living Center in Thomasville.

Police say both Brown and the woman were clients at the facility, but would not release his mental condition.

"This is a personal care type facility for disabled people and it is located on Cassidy Road. This is an ongoing investigation. We are continuing to investigate this incident," said Lt. Eric Hampton.

Brown is charged with rape and exploitation of a disabled adult.

He was denied bond.
