THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -
South Georgia law enforcers are warning motorists not to drink and drive this week, especially with the bad weather.
Operation Zero Tolerance continues this week for many law enforcement agencies.
Troopers, officers, and deputies are out in full force targeting drunk drivers.
And with heavy rain in the forecast, officials are cautioning folks to stay safe.
"This particular holiday we will be even more strict because we want to make sure people stay safe. With the weather being bad, with water being over the roadway that makes it even more dangerous for our drivers and our vehicles," said Lt. Eric Hampton.
Operation Zero Tolerance will remain in effect statewide through Sunday.
