Dougherty County Public Works is providing and distributing sandbags to residents of the county Wednesday.
Crews are spending the day filling and piling the sandbags for county residents to use if they deem necessary for flood conditions.
The county has a general limit of 20 sandbags per residence, but an evaluation by crews can be scheduled if a resident believes they need more.
Interested residents are asked to call 311 for information on picking up sandbags.
The bags can be picked up by county residents at the Dougherty County Public Works Maintenance Area on Habersham Road.
The city of Albany is not currently distributing sandbags to residents. Stay with WALB for the latest updates.
