Valdosta man faces several drug charges

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Ronnie Leggett, 34, was arrested and put in the Lowndes County Jail Tuesday after drug task force agents found a supply of cocaine and ecstasy in his house. They also found scales, guns, gel caps, and packaging materials.

On Tuesday afternoon, July 2, 2013 around 3:30 investigators from the Special Operations Division of the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office and Probation Officers from the Georgia Department of Corrections, Valdosta Probation Office conducted a search of the residence of Ronnie Leggett at 411 Northside Drive, Valdosta.

During the search investigators located approximately 8 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of MDMA, widely known as ecstasy, two handguns, digital scales, hundreds of empty gel caps and packaging materials.

Ronnie Leggett was arrested and transported to the Lowndes County Jail. He will appear this afternoon for an arraignment hearing where a bond will be considered.

Possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute
Possession of MDMA with the intent to distribute
Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime
