ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany police are investigating a shooting that happened Wednesday morning in West Albany that left one young man injured.

It happened in the 2300 block of Gail Avenue around 12:20 a.m.

Officials say Curtis Clark was standing outside an apartment when he was hit once in the chest by a bullet.

His sister says he rushed to her door saying he had been shot. Police believe the gun was fired from 200 yards away where several men were gathered firing a gun.

Police are looking for that group of men. Officials are also investigating to see if the incident was gang related.

Clark was taken to Phoebe Putney for treatment and was listed in fair to serious condition.
