Over $38,000 in guns, ammo stolen from ETX residence in 2 burglaries

Within ten days, beginning June 19, a residence located on Highway 67 in the Maud area around the old Crystal Springs Water Park was burglarized twice.

A large amount of ammunition, several firearms, and several other items were taken in the first break-in. The stolen property has a reported value of $11,467.00.

The day after filing the first report, the homeowner returned to his house to again find someone had entered his home. This time a gun safe was forced open. Twenty-eight firearms were removed and stolen from inside this safe. The stolen firearms include both handguns and long guns which have a reported value of $27,278.00.

  • Ruger Redhawk .44 mag 81/2" with Magnaporting
  • 1 Vizio 32" flatscreen TV new in box
  • 1 Sony Bluray DVD player new in box
  • 500 9mm rounds of ammunition
  • Knight Extreme .45 cal with AETEC scope
  • Knight .50 cal rifle
  • Knight .45 cal with AETEC scope
  • 500 .308 rounds of ammunition
  • 1100 .22 magnum rounds of ammunition
  • 1600 .22 rifle round sof ammunition
  • 6 boxes of .308 rifle ammunition
  • 6 boxes of .223 ammunition
  • 2 boxes of 5.56 ammunition
  • 420 5.56 rounds of ammunition 62 grain
  • 100 5.56 rounds of ammunition 55 grain
  • 10 boxes of 5.56 ammunition
  • 7.62 rounds ammunition
  • 4 boxes of Federal 45 ammunition

The total dollar loss from these two burglaries is $38,745.00.

Both of these cases are ongoing active investigations, but there are no suspects at this time.

The homeowner is offering up to a $10,000.00 reward for the return of all of his missing firearms, or the arrests and convictions of the suspects.
