Property manager facing charges after forging rent checks

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany woman is facing forgery charges after Dougherty County officials say she was receiving rent checks from tenants and keeping them for herself.

Diahanna B. Mcculloch is charged with five counts of 4th degree forgery.

Authorities say Mcculloch, who is the property manager of Paradise Village Mobile Home Park on Holly Drive, was forging money orders that she received when tenants would pay their rent.

According to a report, Mcculloch had altered the names on money orders and cashed them in. Officials say she took in approximately $1,800.

She was arrested and taken to the Dougherty County jail.

There was no immediate word on a bond amount.
