EAST TEXAS (KLTV) -

Texas authorities are seeking a dangerous suspect in a shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning in Grand Saline.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, William Lee Honea, 31, of Yantis, is considered armed and dangerous and may be carrying a "high-powered, semi-automatic rifle." It is possible Honea is traveling with 25-year-old Cortney Summerlin of Camp Wood. The pair may be in one of three vehicles: a black Chevrolet Z71 pickup truck, a white 2005 Ford F-150 pickup truck or a gold dually-style pickup truck.

The Grand Saline Police Department says the victim in Tuesday's shooting is a 24-year-old male who was shot through the chest, reportedly with a rifle. The incident occurred in a vehicle on Farm to Market Road 17 north of Grand Saline. It is unclear if the two men got in a fight; police say it appears the suspect got out of his vehicle, walked up to another car and shot the victim. The victim was flown to a hospital, although his condition is unknown. He was able to speak briefly with officers at the hospital.

Honea is wanted for possession of a controlled substance in Wood County following a September 2012 incident. Summerlin is wanted on three warrants in Wood County, including credit card abuse and two counts of forgery.

Honea is out on bond for shooting at a DPS trooper in 2013. Honea has several previous charges, including assault (2004), possession of a controlled substance (2005), terroristic threat (2010) and evading arrest (March 2013).

If you see either of these suspects, you should immediately call 911. They are considered armed and dangerous.
