ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Reports continue to stream in as organizations and municipalities decide when to hold 4th of July celebrations across South Georgia.

The city of Colquitt in Miller County has canceled their Independence Day fireworks show, originally scheduled for Wednesday, July 3. Charles Moore with the city says the event will be rescheduled for a later date, but that has not yet been determined.

Moore also notes that in Bainbridge, the Independence Day celebration and fireworks is still scheduled for Thursday, July 4.

The 4th of July celebration for the city of Albany will happen "rain or shine," according to Albany Recreation Director Suzanne Davis. Albany's celebration takes place on Thursday, July 4.
