Leesburg native Buster Posey rode a hot week at the plate to another National League honor.
The Giants catcher has been named the National League Player of the Week for the week of June 30th.
In six games, Posey had a .500 batting average, going 11-22 at the plate.
He clubbed four home runs, four doubles, and drove in six RBI. He also scored four runs.
It's the second ever Player of the Week honors for the reigning MVP. He also won the award the week of July 4-11, 2010.
