ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Fireworks stands are anticipating crowds of people to buy fireworks this holiday.

TNT Fireworks in Albany setup their tent in the Wal-Mart parking lot Tuesday. They're selling non- explosive fireworks and the hot item is always sparklers.

Under the tent, anyone can find what they're looking for. Sandra Hesketh with TNT says the assortment packs are a favorite. These fireworks start at fifty cent and go up to $600.

The sellers say right now fireworks sales are slow but consistent.

"It's just the beginning of the season. Generally we sell the most on the last couple days. Most people wait for the last minute. It's probably many reasons for that. One of them is if they buy them ahead of time, the kids want to light them up and they come back and have to get more. Most people do wait for the last couple days to pick up their fireworks," said Sandra Hesketh.

Hesketh says as it gets closer to the holiday, they expect to see lines of people wrapped around the tent.
