THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Georgia State Troopers are always responding to and investigating wrecks in which people are injured, and many times in need of blood.

Troopers from the Thomasville Post, joined by Thomasville Police Department, the Thomas County Sheriff's Office, Thomas County Fire Department, and Air Life Transport, are all participating in the blood drive.

The Southeastern Community Blood Center brought their bloodmobile to Thomasville as part of this effort. The SCBC collects and distributes blood only for the south Georgia and north Florida area.

Troopers also see many crashes where car seats were not installed properly, so they are also conducting a car seat check in the Thomas County area.
