Have you ever notices a big rig or other commercial vehicle parked overnight in your neighborhood?
That's about to become a thing of the past in Albany. Tuesday evening City Commissioners voted to prohibit those vehicles from being parked in residential communities.
"It's taken quite a few months, it's been one ordinance after the next here, so it's good to move on at least, on to the next controversy," said Paul Forgey, planning director, City of Albany.
The previous ordinance limited the length of time the vehicles could be parked, but city leaders say that was too hard to enforce.
They say an all-out ban is simpler and safer.
