DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA -

A superior court judge gives a former Dougherty County educator his teaching certificate back.

In December, the Professional Standards commission revoked Joey James' license.

He was charged with sexual battery for touching a paraprofessional while he was principal at Morningside elementary.

School board members fired him after he was suspended twice.

Judge Willie Lockette ruled the PSC did not properly notify James that the suspensions would be considered evidence.
