Tift Co. I-75 lane closures will produce traffic delays

TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

Information from the Department of Transportation-

During the nighttime hours Wednesday and Thursday, D.O.T. crews will be doing road work on the new I-75/ Omega/El Dorado Road Interchange.

Beginning at approximately 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 26; continuing until approximately 7 a.m., Thursday, June 27; and again, Beginning at approximately 7 p.m., Thursday, June 27; continuing until approximately 7 a.m., Friday, June 28.

Weather permitting, crews for a Georgia Department of Transportation contractor will close two outside (right) lanes of I-75 in both directions for continuing shoulder and bridge work associated with the new interchange.

Delays are likely; motorists are requested to be patient, drive slowly and exercise extreme caution in this work zone.
