Tifton man leads police on chase and injures officer

TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

A man accused of leading Tifton Police on a high speed chase and injuring an officer is out of jail tonight on $6,000 bond.

An officer stopped Shun Ricardo Waters for speeding on I-75 Tuesday.

When the officer got out of his car, Waters sped off. He eventually crashed, then ran at the officer and tackled him.

Waters is charged with fleeing, reckless driving and obstruction.
