The Albany Humane Society is getting a makeover thanks to some help from a national humanitarian group and national dog food company.
Residents in a Northwest Albany condominium complex are being told to boil their drinking water after a main line ruptured this morning.
It was a wet drive at the intersection of Stuart Avenue and Elton Street around ten-thirty.
Albany City engineer Bruce Maples says a city worker was putting a street sign back up.
As the worker packed dirt on the sign, the water line ruptured. Maples says the water main was not installed deep enough into the ground.
The city hopes the boil water advisory for the condo complex on Elton Street can be lifted tomorrow morning.
A big water line ruptured this morning about 10:30 at the corner of Stuart Avenue and Elton Street, sending a huge spray of water across the road, and a mini river down the gutter.
Water, Gas, and Light personnel are on the scene, and the leak should be stopped soon.
We don't yet know what caused the water line to break.
