ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Phoebe Putney workers are contributing to tornado relief by paying for the right to wear jeans to work.

A lot of employees are out of uniform.

Phoebe Health System workers can pay five dollars per Friday or 30 dollars for seven Friday's to wear their jeans on the job.

The money will help Moore Medical Center that was destroyed by a tornado last month.

Phoebe C-E-O Joel Wernick says they've gotten a positive response from the employees.

"This year because of the tragedy that feel to our hospital friends in Oklahoma, we decided to use this fund raising opportunity by wearing jeans to support the hospital and employees in Moore, Oklahoma," said Joel Wernick President and CEO of Phoebe Putney health System.

Wernick has been in contact with administrators at Moore Medical Center and offered Phoebe's support.
