Alphonso Moore, 20, was convicted of murder in the death of 57 year old Dominga Trejo, who was carjacked outside the Quick-Mart on Highway 133, last November in Moultrie.
Judge Frank D. Horkan sentenced Moore to Life in prison for the felony murder, five years to serve consecutive for the firearms charge and 20 years to serve consecutive on the aggravated assault, which means life plus 25 years.
Trejo was in her car waiting for her husband outside the Quik Mart when she was carjacked by Moore.
In what's believed to be a robbery, investigators say he shot her and then dumped her body outside Regency Village Mobile Park.
Trejo leaves behind 6 kids, 22 grandchildren, 1 great-grand child and a lot of tears from loved ones who can't believe she met such a senseless and violent end.
Trejo worked at the KFC in Moultrie but had no insurance. Her family struggled to pay for funeral expenses.
Alphonso Moore was arrested in Coolidge.
