Panthers to host Beer Fest

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Not going out of town for Memorial Day?  Don't worry, the Albany Panthers want to make sure you have a good weekend as they host their first ever beer fest.

You can sample more than 20 types of beer Saturday night at the Civic Center as a part of the first annual Beer Fest put on by the panthers.

There will be plenty of entertainment including musical acts such as Highway 55 and others. There will also be bull riding, a hot wing eating contest and beer pong tables setup for attendees.

You can even meet your favorite panther and feline dancer.

Panthers General Manager Will Carter is encouraging everyone 21 and over to attend.

"It's going to be a great night of entertainment. I would encourage from Southwest Georgia to come on out and support this event. I know it's new to everyone and you're trying to figure out what's going on, but I guarantee you will have an awesome time," said Cater.

Tickets start at $25. Doors to the Civic Center open at 5.
